While participation in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boisestate.edu\/online\/opwl\/research-and-development-labs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">research and development labs<\/a> is optional, it\u2019s highly encouraged as you can directly apply your learning, build your portfolio and deepen your connections with faculty and peers. You can participate in fully online faculty-led lab activities as a volunteer or earn credit through independent study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI would tell anyone considering this program to just do it. Try it. Go for it. Be open and honest with your professors and the people you\u2019re working with. These projects cover topics such as instructional design, needs assessment, evaluation, e-learning development, consulting and project management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By working on real challenges faced by businesses, you can develop critical problem-solving skills and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings. This experience sets graduates apart, preparing you for success in your professional careers by providing more than just classroom theory \u2014 you gain real, practical experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith everything you do in this program, you\u2019re learning, then immediately applying it. [The classes] gave me all of the pieces I needed. We did a proposal for what we thought our consulting services would be.
