In the recent week, we officially began the evaluation and vetting of the candidate pool for the Boise State Presidency. With the now 54 applications, this has been a difficult process. The number of qualified individuals that have expressed interest in the Boise State Presidency has been outstanding and continues to grow.
Throughout this process, it has remained abundantly clear that Boise State University is in a position to attract high quality, top tier candidates. Those applying have been quick to remark on the incredible position Boise State University is in and the potential trajectory of the university with the right leader at the helm.
As we move through this process, we will be in contact with both the campus community and the broad group of stakeholders and subcommittees we assembled for the initial listening sessions. The gravity of this decision is clear to the search committee. There has been rigorous deliberation already as we work to winnow down the candidate pool and move forward. The selection of Boise State’s next president is one of the most consequential decisions we will make as a community when students and faculty return to campus this fall.
We are excited for the future of Boise State University and have no doubt that, together, we will find the right president for the institution.
Go Broncos!
