Having “on-the-job” experience upon graduation is more important now than ever, and Boise State’s Work U program is here to help you get it. There are over 130 in-person, remote, and hybrid opportunities available for fall 2021, and applications are open now.

Work U is a career development experience with a twist, giving you hands-on professional work experience, clarification of your career goals, an opportunity to be mentored, focused classroom time, and a chance to build your resume and network – while gaining 3 upper-division credits.

“Create Your Own” Work U Fall 2021 Opportunity

We also have a new option for students who wish to create their own Work U opportunity. If you can identify a professional mentor, and participate in meaningful work with an organization for 10 hours a week for 130 hours total during the spring semester, this opportunity is for you!

Fall Opportunities:

All opportunities are open to all majors, but here are a few examples of organizations you could gain experience with that may be of interest to you as a psychology major:

Additionally, there are a number of opportunities in non-profits, government agencies, and for-profit companies in areas that psychology majors sometimes pursue, including marketing, human resources, data analytics, event planning, and project management.

Specific Details About the Internship Experience:

  • 10 hours a week at Work U employer
  • 75 minute weekly class with a Career Advisor

  • 3 upper-division credits towards your degree
