Seeking Summer and Fall 2021 Research Assistants for Video Transcribing
Dr. Gena Nelson is seeking two undergraduate research assistants for a special education intervention project that requires video transcription and data cleaning over the Summer of 2021, as well as for Fall of 2021. The purpose of this study is to provide math intervention to students with significant learning disabilities. Each intervention session is video recorded to allow for qualitative data analysis. Summer research assistants will support with video transcription and data cleaning; fall research assistants may continue to support this work, as well as take on other responsibilities such as data analysis and conducting literature reviews. Research assistants can register from 1 to 3 credits for this position. Requirements to apply for the position are stated below, as well as a description of the research activities.
Requirements to apply:
- Have sophomore, junior or senior credit status as of spring 2021
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of team
- Be detailed oriented and organized
- Resume (outlining previous research experience if applicable)
