Learn About Activism and Anti-Racism with the Department of Sociology!

The Department of Sociology’s Anti-Racism Center is kicking-off their Fall 2021 speaking engagement series!
Join the Department of Sociology via ZOOM on October 6 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM to hear a presentation given by Irene Ruiz.The presentation will focus on the importance of including BIPOC voices in environmental and climate justice issues in Idaho, as well as how environmental racism silences these voices. Additionally, Irene Ruiz will speak about how the Vision 2C Resource Council and Idaho Immigrant Resource Alliance are working to help amplify these voices through their Farm Worker Justice Campaign and COVID-19 rapid response work.

Time will be reserved for a discussion and Q&A following the presentation.
