Looking for a way to build your resume, earn letters of recommendation and earn upper-division credits at the same time? TA for PSYC 101!
Dr. McCrea is teaching PSYC 101 in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30-11:45 this semester (Spring 2022) and is looking for TAs. TAs earn 3 upper-division elective credits in exchange for ~9 hours of work per week. That includes a 1 hour weekly TA meeting, attending class (TAs must attend at least one class period per week, attendance at both is strongly preferred), holding an office hour each week (can be via ZOOM) and grading a set of quizzes and papers (any time or place you like).
Eligibility criteria: Must have earned at least 20 college credits, have a strong academic record (3.5 GPA or higher), and strong writing skills.
To apply: email Dr. McCrea at firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate your interest. Include your student ID (for GPA check) and a writing sample. You may use any essay (at least 1 page long) that you have written for any class as your writing sample.
