TAs Needed for PSYC 487 and PSYC 335

Dr. McCrea is and Dr. Boutros are seeking TAs for PSYC 487 and PSYC 335, and you’re invited to apply!
Becoming a Teaching Assistant (TA) is a great way to earn upper-division credit, build your resume, gain professional experience, and work closely with a faculty member (which could lead to a letter of recommendation). The requirements for each available TA position are listed below.

PSYC 487 — Dr. McCrea

Class Meeting Times
Monday and Wednesday, 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM in ILC 118

Duties
The TA must be able to attend class at least once per week, though twice per week is preferred. Additionally, the TA will complete mostly administrative tasks, such as entering attendance points, organizing the details of an end-of-semester event, answering student questions, and reviewing assignment instructions and rubrics for clarity.

Qualifications 
Successful applicants will have earned at least 50 credits, have a GPA of 3.4 or better, and be willing to devote 6 hours per week to class-related tasks. You do not need to have taken PSYC 487 to be eligible for this position.

PSYC 335 — Dr. Boutros

Class Meeting Times
Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM in EDU 112

Duties
TA will assist with preparation of materials, including printing and cutting paper and preparing hands-on activity kits. TA will also assist with grading homework assignments, quizzes, and portions of exams.

Qualifications 
Successful applicants will have completed PSYC 335 with a grade of A or better, have a GPA of 3.5 or better, and have completed at least one Biology course.
