With the Fall semester now in full-swing, the PSYC Advising team wants to share to some of the support resources available on campus for Boise State students. If you have questions about any of these resources, feel free to reach out to us via email (psycadvising@boisestate.edu), or stop by our office hours.

Counseling

Individual Counseling 

Health Services offers individual counseling by appointment, allowing students the opportunity to work one-on-one with a counselor in a confidential setting to address personal issues. Both in-person and virtual appointments are available. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, call Health Services at (208) 426-1459.

Group Counseling 

Health Services also offers group counseling, which is free of charge! There are six different groups being offered during the Fall semester, each of which meets once per week. Crisis Counseling

If a problem or crisis feels too overwhelming to wait for a scheduled appointment, staff are available at Health Services who can provide crisis counseling. To access these services, call Health Services at (208) 426-1459 or stop by their office in-person, which is located on the second floor of the Norco Building.

Meal Assistance

Campus Food Pantry 

The Campus Food Pantry is a place for all students to access food and hygiene supplies for no cost. To access the Campus Food Pantry, bring your student ID card to the Campus School Building. For more information about the Campus Food Pantry, as well as their hours and location, visit their website.

Meal Assistance Program 

The Dean of Students’ Office offers a Meal Assistance Program for eligible students. Students that are selected for this program will receive 15 meal swipes to be used during the semester at Buster’s Kitchen or SouthFork Dining, free of charge. Dean of Students

The Dean of Students’ Office provides services aimed to help all students thrive. Their office can provide students with more information about the financial assistance, food assistance, and legal assistance programs available through Boise State. Students who are struggling are invited to reach out to the Dean of Students’ Office. For more information about the programs and assistance they provide, visit their website.

Center for Multicultural and Educational Opportunities (CMEO)

CMEO’s college programs serve students who are first-generation, financially limited, or have a documented disability. Eligible students will be provided with academic support during the process of earning their Bachelor’s degree, as well as opportunities to participate in group and community activities with peers. Gender Equity Center

The Gender Equity Center is a supportive environment for people of all gender identities to explore, celebrate, and educate the campus community about gender equity. The Gender Equity Center provides programs, events, and support services for LGBTQIA+ students as well as those who want to learn more about the LGBTQIA+ community, race, class, gender, and healthy relationships.
