Breaking Chains Academy of Development (BCAD) is hiring a Summer Program Tutor/Mentor, and you are invited to apply!

BCAD is a community-based organization that provides at-risk youth with the tools and resources needed to successfully transition into adulthood. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are interested in teaching, counseling, mentoring, or working with youth.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting students with GED and/or HSE exam preparation
  • Planning field trips and activities that align with learning acceleration activities
  • Planning and creating activities that have a positive impact on student growth and development, as well as activities that support active and healthy lifestyles
  • Providing transportation to students and participants in BCAD vehicles
  • Tracking data as well as managing a budget for Summer program activities
  • Keeping attendance records
  • Assisting in maintaining classroom, building, and equipment cleanliness
