Boise State Athletics Seeking Summer and Fall Interns

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking interns for the Summer and Fall semesters, and you are invited to apply!

This experience is intended for students interested in gaining experience in the athletic department in areas such as psychology, social work, mental health advocacy, project management, marketing, graphic design, communications, public health, and more. This would also be an excellent opportunity for students interested in sports psychology.

Duties

Duties are personalized for each intern based on interest and field of study. These duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with project management, marketing, and/or graphic design for BroncoBOLD and other mental health programs
  • Aiding in the creation of student-athlete educational mental health initiatives and resources to be displayed around the athletic department and distributed to teams
  • Attending monthly BroncoBOLD Mental Rep Talks with student-athletes and learning from experts from the fields of mental health and sports psychology
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of campus-wide events (e.g., Suicide Prevention Week, Fall 2023 Suicide Prevention football game, Spring 2023 Mental Health Awareness basketball game)
  • Managing daily tasks such as refilling stress-relief baskets in team rooms and lounges
  • Attending monthly BroncoBOLD Student-Athlete Leadership Committee meetings and assisting with project management

Time Commitment

On average, the time commitment for this position is 5-10 hours per week. You may request your time commitment to be more or less intensive depending on your schedule.
