What to expect across campus on game day
Boise State’s home opener is just around the corner! As we prepare to take on Eastern Washington at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, the Department of Public Safety is sharing what you need to know about parking and traffic impacts across campus.
Street closures
The following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, until the end of the game:
- Manitou Avenue: between University Drive and Beacon Street
- Grant Avenue: between Belmont Street and University Drive
- Vermont Avenue: between Belmont Street and Beacon Street
Alternative routes: Beacon Street, University Drive, Capitol Boulevard
Shuttle services
Routine shuttle services will end at 5 p.m. to begin supporting game day operations:
- Route: service to Lincoln Garage, Brady Garage, and Albertsons Stadium
- Hours of operation: 5 p.m. through one hour after the game
- Frequency: every 10–15 minutes
- Accessible options: available on every shuttle
Permit restrictions and alternative parking options
Important: Vehicles left in restricted areas during events may be subject to citation and/or towing.
East Reserve (ER), South Reserve (SR), Alumni and Friends Reserve (AFC)
- Lots closing: West Stadium, Bronco Lane, Engineering Tech (ET), Norco, Alumni and Friends lot
- Closure time: 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, with no re-entry after 1 p.m.
- Alternative parking: Health Sciences Riverside North lot
- Additional limited options: Brady Garage, Capitol Village lot
East Commuter (EC), South Commuter (SC)
- Lots closing: East Stadium
- Closure time: 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, with no re-entry after 1 p.m.
- South Commuter impact: parking may be limited; subject to availability
- Alternative parking: Health Sciences Riverside South lot
- Additional options: BOAS Tennis and Soccer Center, Dona Larsen Park lot
Lincoln Garage (LG)
- Impact: parking may be limited; subject to availability
- Accessible parking: ground and second floors reserved
- Overflow options: Health Sciences Riverside lots, Brady Garage, Capitol Village lot
West Reserve (WR), Brady Garage (BG), Resident Permits (All)
- Impact: parking may be limited; subject to availability
- Morrison Center: surface lot between Brady Garage and Morrison Center reserved for performances
- Overflow options: Health Sciences Riverside lots, Capitol Village lot
