Boise State values the lasting contributions of our Emeriti community and is committed to making campus visits as convenient as possible. Whether you’re returning to attend an event, meet with colleagues, volunteer, or simply enjoy campus, we’re here to help you find the parking option that best meets your needs.
Current Emeriti permit holders will continue to receive a complimentary campus-wide permit for the 2026–2027 academic year. To receive your permit, please log in to the Parking Portal and select the 2026–2027 Emeriti Permit by August 22, 2026.
Beginning with the 2027-28 academic year, Emeriti will have access to updated parking permit options that provide greater flexibility and expanded access across campus. Explore the permit options below to learn about eligibility, pricing, and how to purchase or redeem your permit.
Individuals granted Emeriti status on or after August 22, 2026, will begin participating in the updated program immediately.
Annual parking permits
- Emeriti may purchase a parking permit for eligible campus parking zones.
- Permits are available at a 25% discount from the full annual rate for the selected zone.
- Permits are valid for the academic year (generally August through August; specific dates will be published annually).
- Permits will be available for purchase beginning August 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. MDT.
- Central Reserve permits will not be available through the Emeriti parking program.
Complimentary daily parking passes
- Emeriti are eligible to receive 10 complimentary digital daily parking passes each academic year in addition to the discounted parking permit.
- These parking passes allow for 10 days of parking at no cost.
How to access and use:
- Log in to the Boise State Parking Portal and select Order Permits.
- Select the Emeriti Permit Pack.
- When prompted, attach a vehicle to the permit pack. Don’t worry, you can change the vehicle each time you redeem a pass.
- Select Confirm to add the permit pack to your cart. Your total should be $0.
- Complete the checkout process.
- Wait about 30 to 60 seconds for the permit pack to be added to your account. Refresh the page until the Pending status changes to a permit number.
- Select Redeem Use.
- Choose the vehicle you want to park and select the date you plan to use the permit.
- Select Confirm. Your permit is now active, and you’re ready to park!
Please note: Each redeemed use is valid for one vehicle on one calendar day. Every selected date counts as one use from your permit pack.
Emeriti permit rules and regulations
- Please follow all current Boise State parking regulations when using your permit.
- Daily permits are valid only during the academic year in which they are issued. Unused permits do not carry forward to future academic years.
- Permit availability and pricing are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
- Permits are non-transferable and are only to be used by the permit holder.
Emeriti status approval and changes
The Emeriti permit discount is available to individuals whose Emeriti status has been confirmed and approved through the Emeriti Guild.
Current Boise State University employees, as well as individuals who return to full-time employment with the university after receiving Emeriti status, are not eligible for the discount. Please reach out to HR at hr@boisestate.edu if your status is no longer Emeriti with these policy changes.
