CANSTD 301 INVESTIGATING CANADA: A PRELIMINARY SURVEY (3-0-3)(F/S). Examines the development of a Canadian national identity and role in the world. An interdisciplinary approach will be used with comparison to the United States.

CANSTD 302 CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES IN CONTEMPORARY CANADA (3-0-3)(F/S). Analyzes a range of controversial issues in contemporary Canada. Topics will vary but may include relations with the United States, immigration and multiculturalism, oil resources and environment, marijuana use, health care, and issues related to Quebec and Indigenous peoples. PREREQ: Sophomore standing or higher.
