DARPA Networking Event and DoD Applied Innovation Workshop

2025 DARPA Networking Event

Program Managers from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) are holding a full-day workshop on September 24, 2025 to bring together industry, academia, and emerging businesses to learn directly from DARPA office directors, program managers, and staff. The DARPA Connect Regional Pop-Up Event, hosted at Montana State University, will feature DARPA Program Managers covering the following topics:

  • DARPA Overview: Insights into DARPA’s mission and upcoming initiatives.
  • Engaging with Program Managers: Best practices for connecting with DARPA PMs.
  • Proposal Success Strategies: Learn what makes a proposal stand out.
  • Exclusive Networking: In-person attendees will have direct access to DARPA leaders for in-depth Q&A sessions.

In support of investigators developing and strengthening relationships with DARPA program managers, the Division is offering travel assistance for the upcoming DARPA event. To be considered, please complete the following form by August 15, 2025. For Project Title, please state DARPA Travel Request. For the one page project description, please describe the relationship of your research with DARPA-relevant research areas. DoD Applied Innovation Workshop

The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Applied Innovation Workshop is the nation’s largest conference focusing on the DoD’s priority issues and goals to accelerate installation resilience. The Applied Innovation Workshop will offer a variety of technical sessions and short courses, over 500 technical poster presentations, and networking opportunities at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC from December 2-5, 2025.

The Division of Research and Economic Development encourages any investigator interested in networking and learning more about SERDP, ESTCP, and OE-I funding opportunities to submit an abstract for a poster presentation.

Poster Submission Due Date: Friday, August 29.
