Reminder: DoD Applied Innovation Workshop
The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Applied Innovation Workshop is the nation’s largest conference focusing on the DoD’s priority issues and goals to accelerate installation resilience. The Applied Innovation Workshop will offer a variety of technical sessions and short courses, over 500 technical poster presentations, and networking opportunities at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC from December 2-5, 2025.
The Division of Research and Economic Development encourages any investigator interested in networking and learning more about SERDP, ESTCP, and OE-I funding opportunities to submit an abstract for a poster presentation.
Poster Submission Due Date: Friday, August 29.
The Division of Research and Economic Development will provide travel support for researchers selected to present at this event. If you submit an abstract, please email crca@boisestate.edu to assist with planning.
NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program Workshop
The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is a prestigious fellowship program for early-career graduate students who demonstrate the potential to make impactful research contributions in STEM or STEM education. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support with an annual stipend of $37,000.
To assist students with this opportunity, the Center for Research and Creative Activity and the Graduate College are hosting a workshop to go over the requirements for this award, discuss the process with former winners and reviewers, and review best-practices when applying.
Juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend as well as 1st and 2nd-year graduate students. Graduate Program Coordinators and academic & research advisors who will provide letters of recommendation would also benefit from attending this event.
