TRANSFORM Seed Grants and Managing Conflict on Research Teams Workshop

2026 TRANSFORM Seed Grants

The TRANSFORM project, a four-year, $6 million NSF ART (Accelerating Research Translation) funded program, is now accepting applications for their Seed Grants Program. This funding is intended to increase the scale and pace of advancing discoveries made while conducting academic research into tangible solutions that benefit the public. Funding will be awarded through two tracks: 

Track 1 – The market-oriented track will support research projects that are oriented toward commercialization and traditional technology transfer work that identify innovations in the laboratory and move them toward the marketplace.

Track 2 – The community-engaged track will support Boise State researchers to engage with external organizations (e.g., governments, community organizations, NGOs) to co-produce projects that advance new knowledge and also have societal impact.

Opportunity Information:

  • Track 1 – Market-Oriented Projects 
    • Two Proof of Concept awards at $50,000 for a duration of 12 months
    • One Scaling-Up award at $100,000 for a duration of 18 months
    • Proposals due: May 15, 2026 by 5:00 PM MT
  • Track 2 – Community-Engaged Projects
    • Two Proof of Concept awards at $50,000 for a duration of 12 months

TRANSFORM Working Lunch Event

The February TRANSFORM Working Lunch Event will have Lightning Talks by current Seed Grant awardees who will provide updates, challenges, and successes from their projects. Additionally, there will be information regarding the next round of Seed Grant funding and how to apply.

Managing Conflict on Research Teams Workshop

The Managing Conflict on Research Teams workshop, brought to you by the Center for Research and Creative Activity, equips faculty researchers and their teams with essential tools for transforming disputes into productive, creative solutions. Research teams often face unique challenges, from authorship disputes to differing disciplinary perspectives. Whether you are seeking to mitigate active disagreements with collaborators or to proactively build a stronger team culture, this workshop provides the tools to transform these inevitable conflicts into a stronger, more resilient team that fosters innovation and develops novel solutions.
