Health Science, Health Solutions Presentation Opportunity to Funders
The Doris Duke Foundation, together with the Collective to Strengthen Pathways for Health Research, is hosting a full day convening: Health Science, Health Solutions: From Cells and Molecules to People and Communities.
The event will gather health research funders and thought leaders to explore how to complement biomedical science by expanding and diversifying approaches to innovative research with the potential to improve health outcomes. Informed by nationwide conversations among leaders representing academic medicine, public health, community-based social services, government, philanthropy, and industry, and at an important moment for the future of health research, the event will articulate an opportunity to better address major drivers of health in the U.S. and strengthen connections between research, application and real-world impact.
A showcase session will feature five 7-minute presentations, each focused on health research that addresses one of five non-biological drivers of health: clinical, behavioral, environmental, social, and economic. Ideal presenters are current or emerging leaders in their work, can be researchers or non-researchers, and are dynamic speakers with experience giving short, compelling talks.

Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center Faculty Fellowship Program
The Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (NW CASC) is now accepting applications for its 2027 Faculty Fellowship Program, which supports research related to climate adaptation in Northwest natural and cultural resource management, as well as training in the principles and practices of co-producing decision-relevant (i.e., “actionable”) science. This is a last-mile program that funds activities aimed at enhancing the usability of existing research for natural resource managers. Last-mile activities take research beyond peer-reviewed publication to formats more easily accessed, interpreted and applied by resource managers.
The NW CASC invites applications from faculty and non-faculty scientists with primary investigator status at Boise State University.
