Director, Dr. Brittany Brand, and Postdoctoral Researcher, Dr. Mitchell Meads, attended and participated in the Annual Meeting for Idaho NSF EPSCoR’s “Idaho’s Community-engaged Resilience of Energy-Water Systems” (I-CREWS, Award#: 2242769) on the Boise State University campus. As a multi-institutional, statewide, 5-year, $24 million project–this Annual Meeting was a unique opportunity to share research progress, collaborate with statewide partners on emerging research, and connect research and resources across the state of Idaho.
Dr. Mitchell Meads serves as the Treasure Valley Site Lead on the I-CREWS project. In this role, he coordinates research efforts at the site level to align with statewide research priorities and connect resources across the project to strengthen research findings and outcomes. At the Annual Meeting, he presented on behalf of the Treasure Valley Site Team.
During the last day of the Annual Meeting, Resilience Institute and I-CREWS partners hosted I-CREWS members for guided tours of energy and water system infrastructure of the Treasure Valley. Pictured above, the US Army Corps of Engineers hosted I-CREWS members to tour the Lucky Peak Dam. Not picture, was a tour of the City of Boise’s WaterShed Climate & Water Center.
