About
We are a clinician led organization representing healthcare workers across specialties and professions. Our mission is to provide non-partisan education to the communities we work with and serve about the health impacts of climate change. We offer strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate driven threats to our health and provide education about sustainable innovations to reduce the impacts of healthcare on our environment.
Services
We offer a “speakers bureau” of educational speakers on the health impacts of climate change, including clinicians and climate scientists.
We host a monthly climate and health learning series with national and regional speakers, open to the public, for no cost, on a variety of topics.
We developed the first ever Climate and Health Symposium for the Treasure Valley and are planning the second annual event in May 2026.
We host a sustainable healthcare coalition, brining healthcare organizations from across the state together to discuss successes and struggles and how to implement cost and carbon saving innovations.
We also have a slate of community members that volunteer with partner organizations, in advocacy and community work.
Collaborative Projects
We have partnered with Boise State researchers to support the “Healthy Idaho” grant and subsequent research on heat and smoke on the health of Idahoans, leading to original published research.
We have presented numerous times to Boise State classes on climate change and health topics.
Our executive director sits on the advisory board for the School for the Environment.
