Scope and Audience

To grow the School of Respiratory Care Sciences (SRCS) specialty credentialing, SRCS has chosen to support faculty/staff in the pursuit of additional credentials beyond the RRT. The goal is to provide an incentive to increase the number of advanced credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care or another national credentialing organization applicable to respiratory medicine, education, and leadership within the School.

Eligibility

This policy applies to all SRCS benefit eligible employees.

Terms of Participation

  • Up to $500 in training materials for a specialty exam 
  • Reimbursement of exam cost
  • $1500 stipend for earning credential
    • Limit one credential per employee per academic year

Workflow

  • Gain approval from supervisor.
  • Submit Funds Request.
  • Submit reimbursement and copy of earned credential to the Business Operations Manager within 30 days post completion.

Administrative Modification

The Divisional Dean reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time, or temporarily freeze the participation of new applications based on budgetary considerations.
