Whether it’s for traveling to a conference, paying for research costs, or assisting with remote clinicals, the Respiratory Care Student Stipend are funds reserved to help students meet their growth and development goals.
Eligibility
- Actively enrolled Department of Respiratory Care students who are engaging in clinical rotations, conference participation, research activities, or other academic endeavors that have costs that are not related to tuition. Â
- Approval of both the requisite program director and department chair is required.Â
- Payments for tuition or past due balances are not eligible for the stipend.
- Completed FAFSA with a Student Aid Index of 15,000 or lower.
- Students may only receive the stipend once during the academic degree path in which they are enrolled at the time of the stipend.
- Students must provide a write-up of their experience or outcomes that may be included in a departmental article.
- Must have a Boise State GPA of 3.0 or higher
How to Request the Stipend
- Fill out the linked form below this section, include your Eligibility Overview of the FAFSA Submission Summary from the FAFSA, and a typed statement of 100-500 words, including the purpose/rationale for the request and expected outcomes of an approved request
Terms of Agreement
- Approval must be granted at least two weeks in advance before any expenses are incurred.
- This benefit may be taxable.
- Maximum stipend amount of $2,500 per student per degree track.
- The FAFSA may be used to prioritize the selection of a student.
