Details and Renewal Information

To be considered for the following scholarships all admission materials must be received by the date listed below and all criteria must be met. Admission materials include the completed admissions application, transcript(s), and test scores.

Scholarship recipients will be notified through BroncoMail and the award can be viewed in Student Center.

Fall admits that met the December 15th deadline and met all criteria will be notified by the end of December.
Spring admits that met the October 1st deadline and met all criteria will be notified by the end of November.

Details:

  • There are some programs ineligible for the Gem, WUE, and Treasure Scholarships. If you choose an ineligible major on your admission application or via myBoiseState, you will not be considered for these scholarships. Ineligible majors include: Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiological Science, Pre-Radiological Science, self-supported and fully online programs. These programs are subject to change.
  • To be considered for the WUE, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and have a permanent residence within one of the following participating states/U.S. territories: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Guam, and Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI).
  • WUE recipients cannot count time in WUE program towards establishing Idaho residency.
  • WUE covers 150% of the resident tuition, this is a savings of approximately $12,886 per year.
  • Nonresident scholarship recipients are required to enroll full-time (12 credits) each semester of the award and are still responsible for resident fees and the uncovered portion of the nonresident fees.

  • High School students with college credits will be considered based on their high school GPA and test scores.
  • Students with less than 14 credits completed post high school will be considered based on their high school GPA and test scores.
  • Priority consideration is given to students seeking their first bachelor’s degree and to students transferring in with less than 100 credits.
  • Transfer scholarships are two year awards, but may be extended to a 3rd year depending on the number of transfer credits students have in their entering year.

Courses that are repeated within the same academic year do not count towards meeting the credit completion requirement.
