About the exhibitions
Diana Baumbach: Soft Spot
In “Soft Spot,” Diana Baumbach explores the relationship between the body and materiality. Through intuition and play, she creates wall based works, photographs, and wearables. She is interested in how materials can “slip” and transform from one thing to the next; from fabric to paper, from hair to yarn, from woven to unraveled threads.
Veiko Valencia: All About Forgetting
In “All About Forgetting,” Veiko Valencia creates paintings that can either deceive the viewer to believe truth of a myth or its fiction. The pieces in this exhibition revolve around themes of narrative and humor to see value in the never-ending sequence, to pay attention to moments before a transition happens.
