Boise State visiting lecturer Douglas Campbell co-wrote and directed a film, The Beach House Murders, which hit #5 on the Netflix Top Ten last week. The thriller film follows a female novelist who becomes a prime suspect in a homicide after a mysterious stranger turns up dead at her summer home.
Douglas Campbell, a director, screenwriter and visiting lecturer in film at Boise State, directed over 50 feature films, mostly for television. “The Tomorrow Man,” a film he financed, wrote and directed, won Best Director at the DVD Premiere Awards sponsored by Daily Variety Magazine. This fall, he will teach FILM 190 – Introduction to Production for the Film and Television Arts Program at Boise State.
