Masterclass: Peter Magadini, drummer

Boise State Music is pleased to present a masterclass with renowned drummer Peter Magadini. At this masterclass, Magadini will be presenting on drum set and rhythm section performance concepts.

A legendary drummer, Magadini has performed with Diana Ross, Chet Baker, Sonny Stitt and many other great jazz, pop and rock artists. As an educator, he is a true master. His method book on polyrhythms was voted the #6 most influential drum book of all time by Modern Drummer magazine. His students include the drummer for the band Journey, one of Frank Zappa’s drummers, the percussionist for Pink Floyd and Phil Collins and the drummer for Carlos Santana.
