The Treasure Valley Concert Band, now in its 40th season, is comprised of musicians from all walks of life who enjoy playing fine wind instrument literature. The group plays with school bands and collaborates with other groups/musicians in various locations throughout the Treasure Valley.
Conductor Marcellus Brown came to Boise State University in 1989 and has been directing this group for over 20 years. He has been recognized for his work and dedication as an outstanding conductor not only at Boise State but also is asked to conduct all-state music groups and ensembles locally, throughout the United States, and abroad.
The TVCB program is designed to please audiences of all ages, filled with familiar music from years past, classic band literature, Broadway show tunes and current film scores designed to encourage you to tap your feet and play or sing along in your mind. The band is pleased to share this concert with the concert bands from Middleton High School under the direction of David Davis.
The concert takes place Wednesday, March 15th, at 7 pm at Middleton High School. Admission to this event is free, and it is open to the public.
