The Common Well

The Common Well Art Program consists of a vibrant contemporary art gallery, innovative artist residencies, classroom space and an outdoor stage. The Art Program is supported in part by community partnerships with Surel’s Place and Alexa Rose Foundation. They are also building an art library and have Big Moon Barter, the best little gift shop around.

The Common Well is a vibrant collective of practicing artists in the heart of Garden City, dedicated to creativity, collaboration and connection. They’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented intern to help facilitate their Art Program and bring gallery events to life.

A hands-on role, the Arts Programming and Logistics Intern will gain invaluable experience in the art world — working closely with artists, curators and visitors while developing skills in event coordination, gallery operations and behind-the-scenes logistics. If you’re excited about art, community and building real-world experience in a dynamic environment, they’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Bring events to life: Help plan and execute unforgettable gallery experiences — from captivating exhibitions to artist talks and lively receptions.

Curious Media

Internship title: Curious Media Summer Intern
Commitment: 30-40 hours/week; 10 weeks over Summer 2026

Responsibilities

• Assist the producer(s) in:
  • Coordinating resources for the execution of projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Presenting pitch ideas internally and externally in a clear, coherent, and dynamic fashion established protocols.
  • Testing game builds for bugs and/or ongoing persistent issues.
  • Working/communicating with various teams to provide consideration to design and technical questions.
  • Assist with efficient email communication to all members of the team when applicable.
  • Maintain a streamlined data documentation process to ensure project information remains accessible and actionable for cross-functional teams.
• Attend all meetings associated with wireframes, design, development, and final delivery
  • Take notes in meetings and document any changes to project scope and/or scheduling.
• Help update scheduling information to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and on budget.

Required skills and attributes

• Passion for Kids’ Media: A familiarity with the kid entertainment franchises and an interest in educational interactive media. A genuine interest in educational game development for kids.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external interactions with clients. Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between producers, artists, developers, operations management, and clients.
• Organizational Prowess: Strong organizational and well-developed time management skills. The ability to assist in the tracking of multiple deadlines, manage schedules, and maintain meticulous documentation.
• ]Technical Familiarity: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and a basic understanding of game platforms like mobile, console, and PC/Mac.

Duck Club / Treefort for Good / Music Idaho

Internship: Arts Non-Profit Admin
Commitment: 30-40 hours/week; 10 weeks over summer 2026

Students will assist the Programs Director with tasks relating to day-to-day operations, board support, fundraising support and community outreach/engagement. Social media duties include working with Treefort Music Fest and Duck Club to create unique content for TikTok, attend shows for live coverage and learn how to adjust campaigns based on demographic and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Marketing support (in coordination with Marketing Director and marketing team): Including website maintenance and updating, potential social media posting (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Soundcloud, etc.) sponsored posts and assistance in creating new postcards and posters, poster distribution, etc.
• Grant writing and fundraising support (in coordination with Executive Director): Including researching grant opportunities, writing and/or editing grants and planning fundraiser events.
• Recording payments / donations: Upkeep of the donation matrix and writing donation thank you cards.
• Social media: On-site social media coverage, post new media from artists on socials, come up with TikTok campaigns to engage a younger audience, engage with social media audiences, create playlists and adjust campaigns based on demographics.
• Other: May include onsite show/event support, general website maintenance (updating class times, forms, etc.) and other director support.

Summer Education Intern

• The Summer Education Intern assists in helping with camp performances, classroom prep, student management and teaching a class if the artist is interested in doing so.
• Location: Idaho Shakespeare Festival (ISF) admin office

Production Assistant / Run Crew

• The Production Assistant works as a member of the stage management team during our rehearsal process and then transitions to being part of our run crew for tech and performances.
• Location: ISF admin office and ISF Amphitheater

Prep Electrician

• This role will assist the Electrics team with prepping the theater for the top of season. Duties include cleaning, repairing and inspecting instrumentation under the leadership of the LE and ALE. Prep Electrician may be asked to check systems and communicate needed repairs, if applicable, as well as install and focus lights as instructed by the LE, ALE or lighting designer.
• Location: ISF Amphitheater
• 10-week options: May 11 – July 19; June 8 – Aug. 16

A2 – Audio Assistant

• A2 works as part of the sound team. Duties include set up and tear down of all necessary equipment for preseason theater prep, as well as on a daily basis during performances. A2 will assist the Sound Supervisor and A1 with monitoring and/or troubleshooting any issues with microphones or sound equipment during nightly productions.

Scenic Intern

• Working as part of the scenic team, this internship will give you exposure to the scenic construction, installation and strike process. Requirements include: carpentry skills, familiarity and comfortability with power tools, and a minimum weight lift capacity of 50lbs. Due to our theater being outdoors, Scenic Interns can work in challenging conditions, including high heat.

Properties Intern

• Working as part of the properties team, this internship will provide a window into the construction and creation of props used in our productions. Supporting the Properties Lead, the intern may be asked to assist with shopping, building or procuring necessary materials. Valid driver’s license not a requirement, but a plus.

Costumes Intern

• Working as part of the costumes team, this internship will give you exposure to the design / fitting process as well as the construction, maintenance or organization of theatrical costuming. Requirements include: sewing skills.

Company Management Intern

• The Company Management Intern is an introduction to the hospitality industry. Internship will include assistance with booking and coordinating travel; delivering packages or running errands as requested; picking up and delivering cars to our artistic and production staff. Company Management is an integral part of the success and comfort of the artists. You must be passionate about problem-solving. A valid driver’s license is a requirement.

Visionkit Studio

Visionkit aims to support internships with a program outline that meets the needs of the business, supports interns in advancing their education and career, instills values of stewardship in community building and meets the requirements of the university or organization supporting the internship.

The internship will be 30 hours a week for 10 weeks. All worked hours will be on location at Visionkit Studio unless otherwise specified at the time of the internship.

Visionkit internship programs seek to accomplish three goals:

Education

• Interns will learn valuable skills related to fields they’re interested in (photography, video production, creative direction, concepting, retouching, business entrepreneurship, client management, project management, etc) by engaging with team members on a regular basis and through workshops with agency partners and working professionals in the field.
• Interns will learn valuable skills directly related to supporting Visionkit’s business goals and community goals by assisting team members with tasks or by being directly responsible for their own projects.
• Interns will meet the educational goals/needs for their university and apply their studies to real-world applications through experience at the studio via active productions and other internal projects.
• Interns will have opportunities to engage with leadership and learn about the professional backgrounds of Visionkit’s team. This will happen organically throughout the internship.
• Interns will carry out one fully self-guided shoot or project based on their desired outcomes.
• Interns will learn about the values and mission of Visionkit and the principles of creative entrepreneurship that have supported our success as a business and as individuals.

Visionkit productivity and operations

• Interns will support various studio tasks that will aid in understanding the inner workings of the business. Some examples include, but are not limited to, file archiving, marketing, production assistance, purchasing, studio maintenance and management, equipment handling, set building, digi-tech operation, second camera assist, etc.
• Interns will have opportunities to work in supporting roles on client-facing projects alongside working professionals in commercial film and photography. These roles typically focus on production assistance roles or photography assistance roles.

Community engagement

• Interns will engage with currently established community engagement / social impact organizations and partners. Please see the social impact section of our website for more information.
• Visionkit will expect a minimum number of hours (10) designated to volunteer opportunities throughout the duration of the internship. This can take the shape of self-initiated projects or supervisor-administered projects directed at current arts and culture partners or organizations or arts and culture partners of their choosing.

Wide Eye Productions is looking for a creative and motivated Television Production Intern to join their production team.
