Boise State University’s Interventional Radiology (IR) and Interventional Cardiology (IC) Certificate Program provides advanced training for healthcare professionals who are currently employed in an interventional setting and seeking to strengthen their expertise. These programs are tailored to radiographers and allied health professionals who are actively engaged in clinical practice and are ready to advance their careers in the most innovative and in-demand specialties in healthcare.
The certificate program spans two semesters, blending academic instruction across interventional disciplines and builds directly on students’ current professional experience. This program design reflects the modern and immersive nature of hybrid interventional labs, ensuring both professional depth and academic breadth.
The goals of the IR and IC certificate program is to:
- Provide the advanced education necessary to prepare students for the highly challenging national credentialing exams, including the ARRT Cardiac-Interventional (CI) registry, the CCI Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) exam and/or the ARRT Vascular-Interventional (VI) registry exam.
- Graduate technologists with advanced technical knowledge, but also with the clinical judgement required to excel in complex interventional clinical environments.
