McAllister Hall talks with Boise State Public Radio

Research Associate McAllister Hall recently spoke with Boise State Public Radio about the success of Boise School District’s Free Breakfast Program and our recent report findings. Listen to or read the conversation here and read the Free Breakfast Program report.

Maria Onaindia Presents at Conference of Housing & Economic Development

Maria Onaindia presented in collaboration with Agnew Beck and the Youth Action Board on an ongoing project focused on identifying opportunities to better support youth experiencing homelessness in Idaho. During the presentation, she shared data quantifying both the number of youth currently experiencing homelessness and those at risk of housing instability across the state.

Cuentame Mas Survey

In March, the IPI interns attended a Cuentame Mas event to survey participants. Cuentame Mas is a program hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association that provides learning opportunities to caregivers in the Latino community. The IPI interns are completing a project to help the organizers of the program understand if they are providing valuable and needed information to the participants and understand ways to improve experiences with the program. 

Vanessa Fry Moderates Forum on Idaho Creative Economy

On March 24th, Research Faculty Vanessa Fry moderated a forum with City Club of Boise focused on Idaho’s Creative Economy. Panelists discussed what a coordinated creative economy strategy could look like, as well as existing and emergent opportunities in Idaho. This event was part of a larger project funded by the National Science Foundation and Boise State; listen to the recording of the conversation and learn more about the Idaho Music Census.
