State and local government, public policy, policy innovation and diffusion, institutions and organizations, public budgeting and finance, and economic development.
Dr. Li is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Public Policy and Administration Program, School of Public Service, at Boise State University. He completed his Ph.D. in Public Administration in 2019 at Florida State University. Before he came to the United States in 2014, he earned his Ph.D. in Economics at Fudan University, China in 2011, and then worked for three years as an Assistant Professor at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, China. His current research focuses on state and local government, public policy, policy innovation and diffusion, institutions and organizations, public budgeting and finance, and economic development. His work has appeared in the Policy Studies Journal and Asian Economic Journal.
