Boise Urban Community Club
(BUCC)
Boise Urban Community Club (BUCC) is a student organization at Boise State University dedicated to exploring the people, places, and planning that shape our city. BUCC creates space for students interested in urban studies, community development, planning, public service, and related fields to connect outside the classroom.
We have a strong focus on building community within Boise State while also helping students grow professionally through networking and real world connections. BUCC hosts intentional hang outs, connects students with local planners and community members, and works on projects that improve campus life. From advocating for more third spaces and better seating at BSU to engaging directly with Boise’s built environment, we turn conversation into action.
If you are interested in building community in the built environment and growing your professional network along the way, come check us out.
Conflict Management
Conflict Support Services provides a space for students to talk freely and openly about their needs, interests, opinions, and points of view while addressing mutual concerns. Conflict is normal and arises in many different settings, often negatively impacting relationships, friendships, and opportunities. No conflict is too small or too big; if there is something you are dealing with we would be happy to help you ourselves or by directing you to another resource.
Environmental Club
The Environmental Club at Boise State is a space for anyone who feels connected to the natural world and wants to be part of something bigger. We bring together students, faculty, and community members who care about sustainability, environmental protection, and creating real change close to home. Our goal is to build community while learning from each other through hands on experiences, interdisciplinary conversations, and partnerships both on campus and beyond. Whether you are deeply involved in environmental work or just starting to explore these issues, this club offers a place to connect, grow, and take meaningful action together.

Master of Public Administration Association
(MPAA)
The purpose of the Master of Public Administration Association (MPAA) is to provide a forum for MPA students to get to know each other, explore their academic interests, and network with peers, alumni, faculty, and professionals. We host monthly social hours, service events, and provide students with networking opportunities. As connections are made between students and alumni, our members’ relationship network will expand exponentially! Nothing is more important to our graduates success in finding a career than to getting them involved in great programs like the MPAA here at BSU.
Model UN Club
The Boise State Model United Nations Club promotes education and awareness of the United Nations (UN), international relations, global organizations, and diplomacy. Through participation in regional and national Model UN conferences, students engage in research, debate global issues, and practice negotiation and policy writing. The club also supports Model UN programming and competitions for local high school students, helping connect younger students to Boise State and encouraging interest in global affairs and public service.
Mock Trial Association
The Boise State Mock Trial Association prepares students for leadership and advocacy through simulated courtroom experiences. Members participate in practices and competitions where they develop skills in critical analysis, public speaking, persuasion, written and verbal communication, and teamwork. The club is open to students from all majors, and anyone interested in law, advocacy, or public speaking is encouraged to come check it out.
Political Science Association
The Political Science Association is a group open to all Boise State University students with an interest in politics. In addition to hosting student/faculty picnics and other social events, it has published a journal of student research on political issues, conducted public opinion polls for a local television station, sponsored candidate debates, and has organized a model United Nations for high school students in Southwestern Idaho.
Pre-Law Society
The Pre-Law Society strives to help prospective law students prepare for law school. This includes various events including LSAT workshops, lawyer meet and greets, and an annual admissions dinner with recruiters from many of the top law schools in and around Idaho. Open to anyone who is interested in law.
Scabbard and Blade Student Organization
The Scabbard and Blade Student Organization aims to create awareness for what the Army is doing both on our university campus and in our Boise community at large. The organization also aims to plan events for current Army cadets as well as those interested in the Army at the school to both give back to those who have committed to military service and to provide an opportunity to introduce new students into the roles, functions, and history of ROTC and the Army.
Upstander Nation
Upstander Nation is the only human rights student club open to all members of the Boise State University campus, with no exclusions. We are affiliated with the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights and the Marilyn Shuler Human Rights Initiative. Our mission is to encourage upstander behavior and build a kind, inclusive, and supportive campus community that ripples outward into our local and global communities. We promote a foundational understanding of human rights so students can “see the good and be the good” in their everyday lives.
Through events, partnerships, and campus engagement, we aim to increase awareness of human rights programming, strengthen community values rooted in dignity and respect, and highlight positive, upstanding acts within the Bronco community. We invite all students, regardless of major or background, to join us in learning, leading, and standing up for human rights.
