Welcome home, Broncos! We are so excited to have you living, learning, and thriving on campus very soon. Move-in day for Fall 2025 will take place August 20 and 21. You might be eager to learn what the big day is all about. DUH! Boise State is about to be home sweet home. Here’s 5 ½ things to expect as you’re moving in:

1) What to bring and what to leave

Packing up for your big move to Boise State can be overwhelming. Housing has all the tips on what to bring and what to leave at home. All rooms come furnished with a bed, closet, desk, dresser, and mattress. From there, make it your own! Posters or your favorite mug? Bring it! Open flame candles or power tools? Leave it! Read more about what to bring and leave

2) When to arrive

Check your student inbox for details about arriving on campus, including your personal arrival appointment. Need to arrive early? Check out the Early Arrival FAQs.

3) Where to park (drop-off and long-term)

Housing has it all mapped out! Scroll to the bottom of this move-in day FAQ page to find short term parking maps for all residence halls. You’ll have one hour in short-term parking before needing to move your vehicle to your designated long-term parking zone. No rush! The goal here is simply to get your vehicle moved to long-term parking as soon as possible so that other students moving in will have parking available to them.

4) Unload your belongings

Once you’ve got your keys, your helpers can begin unloading while you grab a cart or start moving things in by hand. Volunteers will be around to help. This is the fun part!

5) Meet your people

From your roommates and RA to the Broncos helping unload your car, you’ll start connecting with your campus community right away. Say hi, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to introduce yourself. Everyone’s in the same boat – ready to make this place feel like home. Come out to Bronco Welcome events to connect with your community!

5 ½) Settle in and explore

Lastly, come back to your room and take your time setting up, meeting your roommates, and getting your space just how you like it. You’ve made it — welcome home!
