5 1/2 Tips to Wrap Up Your Semester on a High Note

#1 — Sleep to Remember, Don’t Just Remember to Sleep

Pulling an all-nighter might feel productive, but sleep is actually when your brain moves information into long-term storage. Get at least 7 hours of rest to ensure you retain information.

#2 — Reset Your “Screen Brain” with a Green Break

Starting at textbooks or blue-light screens can really drain your battery. Step outside for some fresh air and greenery while studying.

#3 — Fuel for Steady Focus, Not a Flash

Ditch the sugary snacks and prioritize nutrition for a stable, steady stream of energy.

#4 — Flip the Script on Finals

Shifting from a “threat” mindset to a “challenge” mindset lowers negative stress hormones and improves cognitive performance.

#5 — Structure in Breaks

Move around and take breaks to boost your memory function.

#5 1/2 — Sip to Skip the Brain Fog

Be sure to drink water throughout the day to keep your brain hydrated.
