The library isn’t just for checking out books or cramming before exams. As a Boise State student, you’ve got access to way more than you probably realize at Albertsons Library, including librarians who want to help you use it all.

Hours that work with your schedule

The library is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., but it offers extended hours for finals week. Check current hours here

Spaces for whatever you need

Whether you need to knock out a group project, record a video presentation, or find a quiet corner to focus, the library has you covered with:

  • Group study areas and private study rooms
  • Video production studio and sound studio
  • Recorded music room (yes, vinyl and CDs!)
  • Family study room (if you’re juggling parenting and classes)
  • Nursing parents room
  • Event space you can reserve

Help from people who actually know their stuff

Subject librarians are basically research wizards for your specific major or class. With access to 400+ research databases, finding what you need can be overwhelming. Start with the library subject guides to make your life easier.

Free access to news, games and cooking

The New York Times app requires a paid subscription, but thanks to the Library, you can sign up through your Boise State email account and get a free subscription. Yes, that includes NYT Cooking and all the games (Wordle, The Mini, Connections, you name it).
