[Title: Student Outreach and Assistance: As Told by Duke]

[Duke, a dog]: Hey there. My name is Duke, and I like to think of myself as the Duke of Students here at Boise State. I work with the Student Outreach and Assistance Team within the Office of the Dean of Students. We offer many great resources here at Student Outreach and Assistance. Let me show you around.

The humans I work with are case managers who each specialize in different areas, but all of which care about supporting student success. They provide outreach to students in need of additional support, and assist students who are faced with barriers to their academic success. Our team offers a variety of support services, but one of my favorites is the referral form. This can be used to refer a student for support like gaining access to basic needs, navigating a family emergency, or health concerns impacting their success. This is another one of my favorites: this is our campus food pantry. It’s open to all Boise State students. We have free, nutritious food to help you stay focused on your academic and personal goals. If you’d like to learn more about us or find that referral form I told you about, check out our website. And oh yeah, follow me on Instagram. Bye now!
