The Micron Business and Economics Building (MBEB) just received a major clean-energy upgrade. We have more than doubled the rooftop solar array, boosting the building’s generation capacity to 120,000 kWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power 12 homes.
Why this upgrade matters:
- Harnessing free energy: Sunlight costs nothing, and solar panels require minimal upkeep once installed.
- Insulating against rising costs: With municipal grid prices climbing, generating our own power helps hedge against rising utility bills.
