Why Recycling?
Ada County is growing rapidly, and its landfill is filling up much faster than originally planned. As Sarah Cutler in the Idaho Statesman noted, the county’s landfill is “filling up twice as fast as it was designed to last.” Recycling is essential not only to ease the strain on landfills but also to move our world closer to a circular economy. By recycling, we can keep materials in use longer, reduce waste, and help create a more sustainable future for our community.
Know the Right Bins
Remember, no bags in the recycling dumpster. You can also recycle glass in our designated glass dumpster, located behind Selway Suites.
