We all know that the “state of the world” is in dire shape. Between Climate Change, air and water pollution, overflowing landfills, food insecurity, severe global inequities, gentrification, urban sprawl – there is a lot to talk about what is going wrong in the world.
We know what is wrong, but what do YOU propose we can do to make it better?
Exciting innovative solutions come up every day, from carbon sequestering to traveling farmers markets to serve the people that need them, we live in a time of pressing innovative technology and social solutions – this is your chance to be part of that discussion.
You and your team of presenters 5 minutes to share your creative solutions for solving some of our world’s problems. This presentation is open to students, and we encourage student clubs and organizations come up with ideas as a group and present together.
Themes can include but are certainly not limited to:
- What are some programs or infrastructure that you would like to see at Boise State to make a difference on campus?
- Pitch a start-up or small business ideas to impact the Treasure Valley and beyond
- Present far-fetched “what if” ideas with some tangible ideas to make “what if” a reality
After the presentations there will be a mixer with local movers and shakers who are excited to talk with you about your ideas to “save the world.”
