EcoTurf

EcoTurf is a mixture of grasses being use by landscape services to better the sustainability of landscaping on campus. Currently, the turf is located behind the Micron Center for Materials Research. The turf is a mixture of clover and fescue grasses, making the area more resilient to seasonal weather changes. By having this mixture, the grass requires less maintenance from landscape services, including watering, mowing and fertilization. Clover is a very drought tolerant species that requires less irrigation to keep its green color, even during the summer, when you will see this plant thrive.
