Plogging is a word melding of the Swedish phrase “plocka upp” and “jogging.” It is a form of both exercise and an environmental and community-building activity.

Make a difference one step at a time! Plogging is our weekly walk-and-clean event, hosted by the Office of Sustainability, where we team up with students to keep campus and the Greenbelt clean and thriving.
Need Volunteer Opportunities?
Do you have a group on campus that wants to host its own plogging event and needs support? Great! We are here to help. You can borrow the vests, gloves, bags, and trash pickers. We can deliver the supplies to your event. Email sustainability@boisestate.edu with your request. Please schedule at least one week in advance. Availability: Monday 2-3 pm, Tuesday 3:30-4:30 pm, Wednesday 10 am-4 pm, Thursday 2:30-4:30 pm, Friday 10 am-1 pm.
