We are excited that you are interested in becoming a member of the Boise State University Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band Drumline! The audition process is designed to help our staff understand your current skill level before you join the band, so please don’t feel intimidated—we want you to succeed.

Every audition must include the following components:
Fundamentals
- Use an audible metronome and play both pages of the Rudiment Builders for your instrument(s) of interest. Although the Rudiment Builders sheet music shows snare markings, you should perform it on your chosen audition instrument.
- Play duple meter exercises at one tempo and compound meter exercises at another. Select tempi that fit your ability level
- Find the instrument-specific downloadable PDF of the fundamental portion of your audition below.
Repertoire
Using an audible metronome, play the Fanfare for All Broncos and the Bronco Rally Song
