2026 Auditions

We’re excited that you’re interested in joining the 2026 Boise State University Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band! If you plan to also audition for the Department of Music, you may use your department audition to fulfill the music portion of your Blue Thunder audition. You will still need to complete the visual portion, which can often be completed in person with a Blue Thunder staff member on the same day as your scheduled Department of Music audition. Department of Music auditions will be held on February 21 and March 7, 2026.

Steps to Complete

Steps to complete Department of Music audition & Blue Thunder Marching Band Audition:

1. Apply to Boise State University for admission, make note of your Boise State University ID#
2. Apply for scholarships using the Boise State Scholarship Application
3. Review and prepare Department of Music Audition Materials
4. Schedule a Department of Music Audition and/or interview
5. Prepare the BTMB Visual component outlined on the previous page click here to go back & choose your section’s page
6. Fill out the Audition Request Form below:
