2026 Auditions
We’re excited that you’re interested in joining the 2026 Boise State University Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band! If you live more than 100 miles from campus, a Distance Audition is the appropriate audition option for Fall 2026 entrance.

For students who live outside of Idaho, the Blue Thunder Marching Band offers non-resident tuition waivers. Successful auditionees may earn a waiver covering the full non-resident portion of tuition, bringing their tuition cost down to the resident rate. Additional scholarships may then be applied to help cover remaining expenses.
Your Blue Thunder audition serves both as an entrance audition and a scholarship audition.
