We’re excited that you’re interested in joining the 2026 Boise State University Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band! If you live within 100 miles of campus, LIVE Auditions for Fall 2026 entrance will be held on April 3 & 4, 2026.

Blue Thunder auditions serve both as an entrance audition and a scholarship audition. Click here for scholarship information

Steps to Complete

Steps to complete a LIVE Blue Thunder audition:

  1. Apply to Boise State University for admission, make note of your Boise State University ID#
  2. Apply for scholarships using the Boise State Scholarship Application
  3. Prepare the Music Fundamentals outlined on the previous page click here to go back & choose your section’s page
  4. Prepare the Music Repertoire outlined on the previous page click here to go back & choose your section’s page
  5. Prepare the Visual component outlined on the previous page click here to go back & choose your section’s page
  6. Fill out the Audition Request Form below:
