Joining forces
U.R.M. works with faculty, staff, community partners, donors, and campus leaders to expand and deepen meaningful undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity for both students and mentors at Boise State. Our role is to help connect people, ideas, and structures so that more students and mentors can take part in high-quality, sustainable URSCA experiences.
If you want to build something new, strengthen something that already exists, or support student learning in a concrete way, there are multiple ways to partner with us.
Here are some ways you can partner with us
Develop a program or opportunity
Work with the Institute to shape or strengthen a student opportunity, mentored project, pathway, or initiative connected to undergraduate research and mentoring. This may include co-curricular opportunities, faculty-led teams, cross-unit collaborations, or public-facing projects.
Build or strengthen course-based URSCA
Partner with us to explore how undergraduate research, scholarship, or creative activity can take shape in courses, majors, pathways, or scaffolded learning experiences. This could include early-entry, developmental, advanced, or extended experiences.
Collaborate on events and public sharing
The Institute works with campus and external partners to create spaces and opportunities where students can present, perform, exhibit, and share their work publicly. Partnership could involve co-hosting, sponsoring, promoting, or helping design events that make student work visible.
Support funding and resources
Some partners help expand student opportunities by contributing funding, space, materials, expertise, or other forms of support. When appropriate, we can help connect prospective supporters with the right campus pathways for student support, program development, or broader philanthropic partnership.
Contribute stories and visibility
Partnership also includes helping students, mentors, and collaborators share what they are learning and creating. This may involve impact stories, student and mentor reflections, public communication, or collaborative storytelling that helps others understand the value and impact of URSCA.
What partnership can look like
A partnership with the Institute may involve one course, one event, one program, one student pathway, or a broader collaboration across units. Some partnerships are campus-based, some are statewide, and some connect Boise State with community, nonprofit, industry, cultural, and public-sector partners.
What matters most is that the partnership helps create or strengthen meaningful opportunities for students and mentors. We are especially interested in collaborations that expand access to URSCA, strengthen mentoring, support public sharing, and make opportunities more realistic and sustainable for students and mentors across disciplines or pathways.
