Application Process

Show Boise and the Hackfort community your tech skills.

1. Identify a Problem

Identify a problem within our community you wish to solve with technology.

2. Apply

Applications for the Hackfort Tech Challenge close Friday, February 28th at midnight.

1. A pitch practice will be REQUIRED during the week of March 3 – 7. 
2. Applications will be reviewed by preliminary judges and the Venture College team.

3. Pitch

Finalist teams will be selected to pitch at Hackfort on Friday, March 28 at 10 am MT.

Eligibility

The Hackfort Tech Challenge is open to university students across Idaho. You must have at least one registered Idaho university or college student on your team in order to compete.

Winners of the Spring 2026 Hackfort Tech Challenge will receive a “Golden Ticket” to pitch in the Fall 2026 Boise Entrepreneur Week (BEW) Pitch Competition.
