TouchNet Marketplace

What is TouchNet Marketplace?

TouchNet Marketplace is a suite of e-commerce tools that provides campus departments and organizations the ability to create, manage, and operate online storefronts and compliant payment systems for campus-developed web applications and other third-party business software. With Marketplace, your campus department or organization can accept online payments, view real-time reports, and process payment refunds.

How do we get a Marketplace account?

To request a Marketplace account for your campus department or organization, please complete the Marketplace Application.

How long does it take to set up a Marketplace account?

Depending on the type of account requested and the administrator’s workload, Marketplace account setup can take between one week and one month to complete.

How do we grant additional users access to our Marketplace account?

Contact us by email at marketplace@boisestate.edu. Please specify what type of access the additional users need:

  • Process payments through uPay Portal (for those with existing uPay Portal accounts)
  • Run reports or process payment refunds through Marketplace

Payment Processing

How do I process a payment?

For those with existing uPay Portal accounts, you can use the uPay Portal to process a payment. Otherwise, only your customers should submit payments via your uStore.

Is the customer’s account charged immediately?

For uStores, credit cards are authorized when the order is placed and charged when the order is fulfilled. ACH payments are processed when the order is fulfilled. For uPay, credit cards are authorized and charged at the time of transaction. ACH payments are processed at the time of transaction.

Can I print a receipt?

For those with existing uPay Portal accounts, you can print a receipt after the transaction is completed. Otherwise, your customers can print a receipt after they complete their transaction.

How are funds deposited in my department’s account?

Each morning, you need to run a report in Marketplace to verify if you had any transactions. If so, you need to submit a department transmittal to the Payment & Disbursement Center. They will process the department deposit.

How do I process a payment refund?

Payment refunds are processed through Marketplace. Please refer to one of the following guides for how to process a payment refund.

How do I reconcile if we have a negative credit card balance for the day?

Contact the Payment and Disbursement Center Supervisor, by phone at (208) 426-1496 for instructions.

Password/Login Issues, Troubleshooting

What do I do if I forgot my password?

For uPay Portal, your user name and password are the same as what you use to login to your University computer and email. Contact the Help Desk at (208) 426-HELP (4357) for assistance in resetting your password.

For TouchNet Marketplace, your user name and password can be reset by clicking the “Forgot password?” link on the TouchNet login page or by contacting us by email at marketplace@boisestate.edu or by phone at (208) 426-1496.
