Boise State faculty and staff are invited to participate in a new hands-on workshop designed to build practical skills for creating accessible PDF documents.
“PDF Accessibility Lab: Practical Skills for University and Federal Compliance” is an intensive, one-day online session led by Carolyn Quintero, University Web Accessibility Manager. Participants will practice the skills needed to identify accessibility issues, repair PDF documents, and validate their work to meet accessibility requirements.
Similar professional workshops cost up to $1,200, but this opportunity is provided free to Boise State faculty and staff. Because the workshop is designed to provide personalized, hands-on support, each session is limited to five participants.
About the instructor
Carolyn Quintero holds a Master of Arts in Technical Communication and brings ten years of experience leading Boise State’s nationally-recognized web accessibility initiative. Her work focuses on ensuring public-facing web content, including documents, meets accessibility compliance requirements. Carolyn specializes in translating complex accessibility standards into practical workflows that help teams create better digital experiences for all users.
This workshop is especially helpful for faculty and staff who create, edit, post, or manage PDF documents for Boise State websites, programs, departments, or services.
