Learn how people use your website with Microsoft Clarity

Understanding how people use our web pages is essential to creating content that is clear, useful, and easy to navigate. It can be tempting to pack a page with block after block of useful information, but how do you know whether visitors are actually scrolling through the content, noticing key messages, or engaging with calls to action?

To help you make more informed content decisions, we’re offering a new one-hour workshop, “Understanding Visitor Behavior with Microsoft Clarity.”

Microsoft Clarity is a free application that provides privacy-conscious insights into how your audience interacts with your web pages, including where they click, how far they scroll (or if they scroll), what content they engage with, and where they may encounter confusion or friction. These insights can help you move beyond assumptions and make practical improvements based on actual user behavior.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to interpret Clarity report data, including clicks, scroll depth, heatmaps, and session recordings. We’ll discuss what these behavior patterns can reveal about page structure, calls to action, content placement, and overall usability.

By the end of the session, attendees will be able to identify common behavior patterns, recognize potential content and user experience issues, and apply simple improvements that help our visitors find and use information more effectively.

This session is designed for Boise State WordPress site administrators and content creators. No analytics experience is required.
