At first, any new space and or a new chapter in life can be intimidating. It is hard to meet new people, create relationships, and get connected. From our experience and wisdom, here are some awesome sources and things to keep in mind to mingle, shmooze, connect, or establish relationships.

Overall, Boise and Boise State are connected in more ways than you think. Having a sense of community and connection is vital and easily accomplished here, especially with the advice above. Classmates are a lifeline when it comes to establishing your community and building your place at Boise State. Connecting with classmates helps when it comes to studying, sharing ideas for certain classes or majors, and overall having a familiar face and person when attending courses. Broncos make the best friends! Don’t hesitate to say hello.

The Rec Center events, for example, are great segways into establishing friendships by doing activities and are a fun way to bond with new people while you’re finding your way on campus.
